Day 17 June 21
Banff, Canada
Medicine Hat, Canada.
Banff and the Canadian Rocky Mountains are a sight to see. I can only imagine what it looks like on a
clear day. Low cloud cover made it a
bit hard to see but what I did see, amazing.
Banff reminds me of England a bit. The locals have a bit of a British accent.
They told me from the settlers.
It is light out till about 10:30pm. A bit weird but cool at the same time.
What was a bit of snow on the mountains yesterday gave way to a lot of snow
overnight. No snow in Banff but a lot of
rain.
Driving from Banff to Calgary was mountainous.
Calgary to Medicine Hat, was flat.
In fact it reminded me of South Dakota and just as I thought about it, a
sign comes into view, “Canadian Badlands” Not like the National Park in South
Dakota but the surrounding areas.
Going from all the mountains to flat was a matter of a few miles. Quite the change.
Still no evidence of a second mouse, even though I haven’t slept in the Element
for the past two nights.
No bits chewed paper or droppings since I trapped the one.
Not sure what I’m going to do here in Medicine Hat. I’ll have to see what the city ordinance is for sleeping in your car here.
Until tomorrow…………
Banff is on my list. Can’t wait – so beautiful!
Just love the mountains, feels like you could reach out and touch them.
Did you take any pictures when you were in Calgary?
No, I just drove through.. I didn’t stop.
