My first event this year was the Blues Festival at legendary Luckenbach Texas. A must stop, if you visit South Central Texas. Last time was the 3rd annual festival. Time flys
Two out of the 7 band were Sue Foley and Mojo Man.
Sue Foley plays the blues like no other I’ve seen. Only finger picking. During the show she would pull out her fingernail file to smooth out here nails. Her stage presence was strong. Felt like a friend. I met her after the show. She is in person as she was on stage. Genuine. I suggest purchasing her new album, “The Ice Queen.” Just an amazing performance.
Headlining was Muddy Waters (McKinley Morganfield), youngest son, Joseph Morganfield; New Mojo Man. Met him backstage. He is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. A chance of a lifetime.
A great day. Seven bands. Ten hours of the blues. Come down next year for the 14th annual blues fest.
WANDERING UPDATE
I am currently looking for a cargo van I can stand up in. I want to
convert it into a camper van/customized RV. A commercial cargo van is in
a different class for getting a loan. Interest rates 4 to 5 percent
higher than an automobile loan. Once complete it can be refinanced as an
RV but again, higher interest rate.
Am working on whether to sell my house to pay for this project. I would then live full time in the RV. Or rent it out.
It’s going to be a long arduous process. Longer than I originally thought.
